Terms of use and sale

These terms govern the use of the glidetracker.world website and the glide. apps (iOS and Android), as well as paid subscriptions. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. Publisher

2. The service

glide. is a situational-awareness aid for glider and paraglider pilots: flight recording and analysis, maps, airspaces, weather, nearby traffic, logbook, social features. The website shows a live traffic map and an account management area.

3. Flight safety: important warning

glide. is an aid, not a certified navigation instrument. The pilot remains solely responsible for flight safety, flight preparation and compliance with regulations. Do not rely solely on glide. to avoid airspaces, terrain, obstacles or other aircraft.

• Displayed data (airspaces, airfields, weather, OGN/FLARM traffic, altitudes) comes from third-party sources or estimates; it may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. Not all aircraft are visible.
• Always consult official sources (AIP, NOTAM, up-to-date charts, weather briefing) before and during the flight.
• Do not use the app in a way that distracts you from critical phases of flight.
• The app may stop working (battery, GPS signal, network, system update) without notice.

4. Account and age

• You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and tell us of any unauthorised use. An account is personal.
• Minors under 15 may only use the service with the agreement of a parent or holder of parental authority.
• You can delete your account and data at any time in the app or on the My account page.

5. Subscriptions and prices

• Some features are reserved for subscribers, according to the plans shown in the app (monthly or yearly). Prices including tax, duration and features of each plan are shown in the app before you subscribe, in your store currency.
• A free trial may be offered; its duration and conditions are shown when you subscribe.
• Purchases are made through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, which collect payment, issue the receipt and handle billing under their own terms.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same duration, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Apple or Google Play account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and you keep access until then.
• We may change our prices; changes apply at the next renewal after notice as provided by the store and by law, and you can cancel beforehand.

6. Promo codes and young pilots offer

• Codes are personal, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for money. Each code has its own conditions (duration, number of uses); a young pilots code is single-use, valid for 60 days from when it is sent, and gives free access until the beneficiary's 18th birthday, with no automatic renewal or charge.
• The young pilots offer is for people under 18, on presentation of an ID document matching the form information. We may refuse or withdraw a code in case of false declaration or abuse.

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Your withdrawal and refund rights are detailed on the Refunds and withdrawal page.

8. User content

• You remain the owner of your content (flight tracks, photos, videos, profile). You grant us a non-exclusive licence, for as long as the content exists, to host and display it according to your visibility settings, as needed to run the service.
• You warrant you have the rights to what you publish and only show people who consented. Unlawful, hateful, misleading content or content infringing privacy or others' rights is prohibited.
• We may remove reported clearly unlawful content and suspend an account for serious or repeated breaches.

9. Acceptable use

You must not bypass security measures, mass-extract service data, disrupt its operation, resell access or impersonate anyone.

10. Intellectual property and third-party data

The service (brand, code, interface, texts) is protected. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use. Third-party data is subject to its licences (see the legal notice); OpenAIP data is licensed CC BY-NC 4.0.

11. Personal data

Processing of your data is described in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

12. Availability and changes

We do our best to provide continuous service, without guaranteeing there will be no interruption (maintenance, incident, reliance on third-party services). We may change, suspend or discontinue features; if a paid service is permanently discontinued, we will inform you and refund the unused paid period as provided by law.

13. Liability and guarantees

• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for personal injury, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
• You benefit from the statutory conformity guarantee for digital content and services (articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for flight decisions made by the user, nor for damage resulting from use contrary to section 3, an erroneous third-party data item, or the unavailability of a network or third-party service.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms; the update date is shown at the top of the page. Significant changes are notified in the app or by email before they take effect; if you do not accept them, you may stop using the service and delete your account.

15. Disputes

16. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving a consumer residing in another EU country of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of their country. The consumer may bring the case before the competent court under ordinary rules.
